Celebrations and rituals are important in acknowledging significant events from our birth, through to the end of our lives.
I am passionate about creating ceremonies which bring joy to both the participants and guests.
I work with couples and families to deliver professional and stylish ceremonies for weddings, partnership and
commitment ceremonies, naming ceremonies, renewal of vows and funerals. I will officiate at traditional and not so traditional venues and I offer a range of ceremonies with inclusions to suit individual budgets.
Your ceremony can be sweet and simple or you may choose to have it more unique with many options available,
depending on your personal choice. I can offer suggestions and resources to assist you to create your ideal ceremony
ensuring your personal values as well as cultural and religious beliefs are a significant inclusion.
A little bit about me...
I have worked with young people and their families for many years as a leading educator, so I am thoughtful, sincere and caring in my interactions and professional relationships. You will find me reliable and easy to work with.
I value the institution of marriage and consider myself very family orientated. I have always been excited about celebrating momentous events and have officiated on many formal occasions. I also enjoy public speaking, which is why I decided to pursue my passion further and become a Marriage Celebrant.
Your Wedding Ceremony
This is the legal commitment of a man and woman according to the Marriage Act 1961.
Your wedding ceremony sets the scene for one of the best days of your life, It is happy, passionate and romantic - the declaration of your love for one another. I ensure your wedding ceremony will include special elements to make it a unique and memorable experience.
Your ceremony can be as simple or elaborate as you wish. Family and friends are welcome to participate in the marriage ceremony. I provide assistance with poems, readings, music or cultural symbols and offer guidance to produce a truly memorable wedding ceremony.
Once chosen as your celebrant it is my role to attend to all your legal paperwork, assist you to write and arrange a ceremony to suit your needs and solemnise your marriage. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
Please note I am available for weekend weddings only.
Your Commitment Ceremony
Congratulations, you are committing to be Life Partners!
This ceremony appeals to couples who can't or prefer not to go through the legalities of Marriage but still want to celebrate their love and commitment to each other in front of family and friends, or in a very private and intimate way. There are no legal requirements for this ceremony.
I provide a sample ceremony for you to work with as well as poems, readings, blessings and rituals should you wish to include these in your ceremony. I provide a certificate to you which acknowledges your partnership and commitment.
Your Naming Ceremony
A Naming Ceremony is a wonderful way to celebrate the birth of a child, surrounded by the love of family and friends. It is a powerful way to strengthen the love and bond between a new family.
To marry a couple and then perform a Naming Ceremony for their child is an honour and privilege.
In this ceremony I ask parents to officially name their child and ask the Godparents or Guardians to support the emotional wellbeing of the child. I provide a sample ceremony, along with examples of blessings, rituals and poems to assist you in the creation of your ceremony and a certificate acknowledging the naming of your child.
Renewal Of Your Vows
After so many years together you may want to renew your wedding or commitment vows. This ceremony allows you to express your love for each other in front of friends and family, once again in a ritualistic way. You acknowledge the time you have shared as a couple and express new vows for the continuation of your future together. It is a beautiful way to acknowledge family members and friends who have supported your love and marriage or partnership.
Couples often have this ceremony on their anniversary as a way to express their love for each other.
I will provide a sample ceremony for you to work with as well as give ideas for blessings, rituals and poems to personalise your ceremony.
Funerals
A compassionate and sensitive funeral or memorial ceremony can bring great comfort to family and friends.
As an understanding and caring person, I provide you with a personal service and deliver a tribute which truly reflects your loved one. I focus on your needs, wishes and expectations to develop a special, unique and dignified service. Your service is perceptively written and eloquently presented.
I always visit the family to discuss the content of the service. I provide a selection of poems and can incorporate religious elements in the service if desired. Families are welcome to contact me with any questions or concerns and if they would like me to write the eulogy. I email a copy to be proofed and confirmed before the service. I also send the proposed order of service as discussed and any poems that will be read by family or friends.
